Spring has finally arrived to Centreville, Virginia!  The days are getting longer and the weather is getting warmer and there’s a ton of fun things to do around Lakeside!  Leave the memories of SNOWZILLA behind and enjoy the vibrant colors, outdoor activities, fresh air, and sunshine that the Spring season brings with these fun things to do in the area.


Head to the Tidal Basin with your camera and take in the sights and smells of the cherry blossoms.  Beginning on March 26th through April 16th, the National Cherry Blossom Festival will be taking place.


Pack a picnic and bring your family to our personal backyard of Bull Run Regional Park.


Reconnect with nature and explore the gardens and trails at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna.


Test your golf swing out at one of the nearby golf courses like Twin Lakes Golf Course or  Westfield Golf Club.


Opening in April for the season, shop the local produce at the Corner Market located at Cox Farms.  While you’re there, don’t forget to say hi to the farm animals.


Lace up your hiking boots and hike the trails of Ellanor C. Lawrence Park.


Spring into shape and train for one of the many races in the area this spring such as Cherry Blossom 10 miler (April 3rd), Foam Glow 5K (April 9th), Georgetown 10 Miler (April 9th and 10th),  Runners Marathon of Reston (April 10th), Heroes vs Villains 5K (April 10th), Manassas Runway 10K/5K (April 17th), The Color Run (May 15th) and the Capitol Hill Classic (May 15th)


Rent a boat and float along the Potomac River at Fletcher’s Boathouse or at Key Bridge Boathouse.


Attend the Kite Fun Day, Bluebells at the Bend Festival or Pirate Fest at Lake Fairfax Park.


Dine al fresco at Bonefish Grill, Sweetwater Tavern, Chasin’ Tailes or Alto Plaza.
