Get your holiday cheer on this year by visiting the Bull Run Festival of Lights, which opens Friday, Nov. 22. This annual event features holiday lights and displays along a 2.5-mile path that runs through Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville. After driving through the course, guests can visit the festival’s holiday village to enjoy rides and refreshments and to take photos with a certain visitor from the North Pole.

Running through Jan. 5, the festival is open 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and closes at 10 p.m. on weekends and holidays. If you don’t like crowds, plan to visit on the less-crowded nights of Monday through Thursday and take advantage of a discounted admission price. Advance tickets are not available for the Festival of Lights, so pay at the event’s admissions booth. The show runs regardless of the weather, unless the weather conditions are extreme. If you’re unsure about whether the show is running, check the event’s Facebook page!
