We know that the calendar just turned to March and we have a few more months to go before it is finally summer, but we can’t help but get excited for another summer season at Wolf Trap! We are so lucky that we are able to live so close to a wonderful performing arts center. We also know that outdoor concerts and summer go together like peanut butter and jelly!
Earlier today, the much-anticipated line-up for summer 2017 was announced and we can’t wait! From musical acts to movies accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra, there will be someone for everyone of all ages.
Mary J. Blige will kick off the summer season on Thursday, May 25th. From that day on to September 16th, Wolf Trap’s schedule is jammed packed with performances. Also scheduled to perform are Sheryl Crow, John Mellencamp, Grace Potter, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Goo Goo Dolls and the Beach Boys… just to name a few. This summer you’ll be able to catch Mama Mia for one last chance! You’ll also have the opportunity to watch Jurassic Park and the 2017 Oscar Winner Nominated Best Picture, La La Land, on the big screen accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets for all the performances and shows go on sale on March 18th at 10 am. However, if you are a Wolf Trap member, you can purchase tickets starting today. Check out the entire line-up here. Oh, and by the way, more shows will be announced on April 6th!
