Each year, the month of October goes PINK and so does Lakeside!  During October, Lakeside joins the fight to find a cure for breast cancer and to help bring awareness to the disease.  All month long we here at Lakeside will show our support for the fight against breast cancer by collecting Pennies For Pink and by wearing pink on Wednesdays.  We will also be turning our fountain lights to pink once again this year and will have breast cancer awareness mints and stickers out for everyone to enjoy.

Besides wearing pink on Wednesdays, we want YOU to help make this 2016 Breast Cancer Month the best one yet by joining in on the fight.  Other ways you can easily GO PINK and show your support is by rocking your pink ribbons in different ways, getting the perfect pink manicure, taking your chocolate chip cookies to a pink level or dress your perfect pumpkin in pink!

Also, besides our effort here at Lakeside, there are several ways to help raise money to find a cure throughout the area.  On Sunday, October 2nd, The American Cancer Society, Making Strides of Washington DC is holding their annual walk and there is still time to donate.  Take a nice drive to see the fall foliage to Purcellville and stop at  Two Twisted Posted Winery.  They will be giving 10% of its proceeds to Loudoun Breast Health Network throughout the month of October.  On October 4th go have dinner and drinks at Blackfinn in Ashburn to participate in Donations + Libations: A Fundraiser Benefiting Cherry Blossom Breast Cancer Foundation.  Also, if you enjoy yoga {and shopping} head to Athleta at Tysons Corner to shop for a cause or participate in a free breast cancer awareness yoga class!

We look forward to Lakeside going PINK this October and doing what we can to fight for a cure!
