HAPPY FALL!
Today is the official first day of FALL and we couldn’t be more excited about it here at Lakeside. We have already dove straight into our favorite fall treat, pumpkin spice, but now it is time to also enjoy another aspect of fall that we love, the festivals! From food festivals to Oktoberfests, there are several options right around us in Centreville. However, we think you should stay close to home and take advantage of one of the best fall festivals in the DMV area and head up the road to Cox Farms.
Starting this weekend, September 24th, Cox Farms will kick off their 2016 Fall Festival, which runs through November 6th. All season long, enjoy the attractions at the festival like 7 different themed slides, hayrides, apple and cider tastings, mining area, farm animals, lots of food and a huge corn maze with tons of surprises. Additionally, Cox Farms’ market will be open where you can take home all the apples, cider, donuts and pumpkins of all sizes that you want back home to Lakeside.
Now, if you are brave and a fear seeker, then you must also check out Cox Farms Fields of Fear. The Fields of Fear is not meant for the lighthearted, or the younger crowd. Also opening this weekend, Fields of Fear happens every Friday and Saturday night through November 5th. A haunted cornfield, a zombie zoo hayride, a bonfire, games and a dark forest that you can explore all make this nighttime adventure a must-go, if you dare!
We have a feeling this will be one memorable fall season here at Lakeside and we can’t wait to hear, smell and see everything fall!
