There’s nothing better than the fresh smell of fall, apples, apple cider and apple cider donuts!  If you agree, you’ll want to make plans to take a nice drive over up to Bluemont during September to their Apple Gala & Fresh Cider Fest!

Each weekend for the rest of this month, Great Country Farms will be celebrating all things Fall. During the festival, the farm will have cider pressing demonstrations throughout the day.  Also, you can take a wagon ride to pick-you-own apples! If picking apples or apple cider isn’t your thing there are plenty of other activities going on throughout the festival.  Enjoy the 1.5 mile “Virginia is for Lovers” corn maze or run around in the 5-acre play area where you can go down the 80-foot slide!  There is also a spot to try your luck at hitting a hole-in-one with mini-golf and to hang out with some of the farm animals.

Besides the fun and games during the festival, there is also the Roosteraunt Concession Stand that features their cider donuts, ice cream, pizza, smoked pork BBQ sandwiches and freshly baked apple pies! Also, for all the adults out there, you’ll find Dirt Farm Brewery and Bluemont Vineyard part of Great Country Farms. Dirt Farm Brewery is owned and ran by the same family that runs Great Country Farms.  The brewery, located just a mile from the main festival area, uses fresh ingredients grown on Great Country Farms to create their craft beer.  Bluemont Vineyard is also an extension of Great Country Farms.  Located across the street from the farm, Bluemont Vineyards uses the fruit from the farm and their own grapes to make their different varieties of wine.  As a special bonus, during the Apple Gala & Fresh Cider Fest, you can receive 10% off wine bottle purchases with your farm wristband!

With 4 weekends left in September, make sure you carve out some time to get over to Great Country Farms for their Apple Gala & Fresh Cider Fest.  We know you’ll have a great time and it will truly put you into the fall, apple and let’s not forget, pumpkin spice everything mood!
